Located in front of the Saint-Boniface Cathedral, 5 minutes from downtown Winnipeg, the cemetery holds a lot of the Saint-Boniface history. It is the resting place of Louis Riel, the "Father of Manitoba" and many other famous manitobans.
The bishops' crypt is located inside the walls of the 1905 Cathedral.
Today, the priests of the diocese are still buried in this cemetery.
A new columbarium is now available, allowing many more people to choose this site as their final resting place. For more info, see here.
